Alternative Photography Process in Cyanotype

 

This project is a documentary portrait series of four Vietnamese immigrant families living in Silicon Valley.  It is a collective story about the people from Vietnam when they were young with their family. My photographs share collective stories. 

 

I was born in Vietnam and came to America at an early age. One of the first challenges to every immigrant is to overcome the language barrier. In this project I am using the cyanotype process; one of the first non-silver technologies used to create photographic images.
